Bread Financial: Q2 Earnings Snapshot

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) _ Bread Financial Holdings, Inc. (BFH) on Thursday reported second-quarter profit of $12 million.

On a per-share basis, the Columbus, Ohio-based company said it had net income of 25 cents.

The results missed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of 14 analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $2.25 per share.

The manager of loyalty and rewards programs for retailers and others posted revenue of $988 million in the period. Its adjusted revenue was $893 million, also missing Street forecasts. Fourteen analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $900.7 million.

Bread Financial shares have dropped 36% since the beginning of the year. The stock has fallen 57% in the last 12 months.
